A&I Fire and Water Restoration Wins 2011 Community Stewardship Award from Georgetown Chamber of Commerce
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce held its 94th Annual Meeting and Business Excellence Awards. The Chamber recognized individuals and companies for their contributions made the throughout the year. A&I was presented the 2011 Community Stewardship Award. The award was given to A&I for their dedication and support of the Georgetown County Fire Department and Technical Rescue Team.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Vancouver, Washington
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) are proud to announce that Alex Mozingo and Kenny Nance of A&I Fire and Water Restoration recently have qualified by education and examination as a Certified Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician. These students have sacrificed many hours and a great deal of time and study to reach this level of certification.

A&I Fire and Water Restoration Wins Remodeling Award
Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the eighteenth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The winning projects were selected from over 400 entries. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.

A&I Vice-President Billy Alford selected as Ambassador for Economic Development
Billy Alford was selected as Horry Counties 2011 Ambassador for Economic Development. The award honors private sector individuals who have made significant contributions to community and state development. Ambassadors are recognized for their leadership in activities that promote economic growth in every county in South Carolina.

Chairmen Danny Isaac elected to second term on SCDOT.
Danny Isaac was elected Thursday, Jan. 20, to serve a second term as Chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission, and R. Eddie Adams was elected to serve a second term as Vice Chairman.The Commission was unanimous in both votes, which took place during the Commission's monthly meeting in Columbia. Isaac, who represents the 1st Congressional District, has served on the Commission since March of 2008.

A&I President Danny Isaac recognized by Myrtle Beach Chamber as Citizen of the Year.
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its President's Gala honoring Danny Isaac, 2010 Citizen of the Year. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual who has displayed outstanding leadership and community involvement. Isaac, president of A& I Corporation, has long been recognized as a pioneer in restoration and community leadership. He founded A&I Fire & Water Restoration with his father Daniel H. Isaac, Sr. and William H. Alford in 1974, responding to a need for a restoration company in Myrtle Beach. Isaac, a Myrtle Beach native and Citadel graduate, has served as chairman of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Earlier this year A & I Fire and Water Restoration was recognized and awarded two national honors. The company, known for their fast response time, follow through, great customer service and remodeling excellence continue to generate a buzz. A & I brought home two awards to add to their growing collection of honors in June. A & I Fire and Water Restoration was named in the "BIG 50" class for Remodeling Magazine declaring them one of the top 50 remodeling companies in the United States. This award is given to companies who stand out for their sound business practices, solid management skills, careful craftsmanship and community service. A & I also took home a Chrysalis award for excellence with Remodeling Magazine this year.
Most recently, A & I has been ranked 82 out of 500 United States companies for the nation's top remodelers ranked by volume. The second ranking they have received was given out by Remodeling Magazine. A & I is now ranked 14th in the Nation by volume for Insurance Restoration contractors.

A & I Achieves Another New National Certification
MYRTLE BEACH, SC - A & I Fire and Water Restoration continues to further their long list of industry certifications. Most recently, A & I became a company certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for lead-safe restoration, repair and painting. A & I is consistently working to earn new accreditations and certifications in their field each year.
The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment. This includes air, water and land. The EPA works closely with communities and businesses on many core topics. Among those are lead, mold, repair, restoration and more. These areas fall directly in line with the type of business A & I conducts. By achieving this certification the EPA certifies that A & I will repair, restore and paint within their safety and environmentally friendly guidelines.

A & I's Danny Isaac named as the new Chairman of the South Carolina DOT
MYRTLE BEACH, SC - A & I Fire and Water Restoration proudly announces that owner Daniel H. Isaac, Jr. has been named as the new Chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Isaac adds this title to a growing list of important state, regional and local positions that he has held over the last four decades. It is his mission to continue to serve the community on all levels to achieve the best quality of life for South Carolina residents.
As Chairman of the SCDOT, Isaac's duties will include setting the agenda for all meetings, appointing committees, approving travel and handling the role of Chairman at meetings. The Chairman is also charged with building a consensus on matters to set policy and procedure. The SCDOT is a very important agency in the state and is responsible for ensuring safe roadways, evacuation routes during emergencies and generating new and innovative transportation options throughout the state.

Todd Setzer Joins the A & I Fire and Water Restoration Team
MYRTLE BEACH, SC - A & I Fire and Water Restoration proudly announces the addition of Todd Setzer as their new Marketing Director. Setzer will be handling marketing, sales and public relations for the company. He will be based in the home office in Myrtle Beach, located at 1004 8th Avenue North Extension. Setzer’s responsibilities will include the management of the sales and marketing departments.
Setzer is a native of Florence and has more than nine years experience in the sales industry. Setzer is a Coastal Carolina University graduate with a degree in marketing. Prior to joining the A & I team he worked in commercial sales for Sherwin Williams. Setzer is married and has a 10 month old son.
